Venessia B. Rieper, MA, LCP
License #87467
For the past 15 years, Venessia has dedicated her career to the mental health field, advocating for individuals and families facing mental health challenges, trauma, and behavioral issues. Throughout her journey, she has worked with diverse populations and currently specializes in individual counseling and therapy for both adults and children.

Venessia's passion for mental health work began in 1998 when she joined a non-profit organization in Denver, CO. It was here that she first worked with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and dual-diagnosed adolescents, sparking her deep interest in behavioral therapy, life skills programs, and emotion regulation techniques.

In 2001, she moved to Johnson County, TX, where she assisted in a Life Skills class for students with IDD and mental health challenges. By 2006, Venessia recognized her desire to have a greater impact on those struggling with mental health diagnoses and began her path toward becoming a Licensed Therapist. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Letourneau University and began preparing for a career as a counselor.

During her graduate internship in 2008, Venessia worked with two non-profit organizations that supported individuals affected by substance abuse, addiction, and criminal history. In 2015, she earned a dual Master of Arts in Licensed Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, and later became certified as a Professional Life Coach. This led her to transition into individual, family, and marriage counseling.

In 2019, Venessia returned to a non-profit role, supporting children and families within the foster care and adoption system. She worked closely with children, foster parents, adoptive parents, and school administrators to address behaviors linked to abuse, grief, and trauma.

Having worked with many different populations, Venessia remains committed to supporting those whose lives are disrupted by mental health challenges and lack of community resources. She recognizes the significant gap in education and support for individuals facing mental health barriers and has opened her own private practice to provide inclusive mental health services for her community.
